Connect Claude or ChatGPT to the Toiya question bank
Toiya's MCP connector lets your AI assistant search 12,300+ tagged SAT, ISEE, AP, and AMC questions and build worksheets for you. Setup takes about two minutes.

What you can do with it
Once connected, you can talk to your assistant the way you'd plan a lesson with a colleague. It searches Toiya's 12,300+ tagged questions, picks the right ones, and saves them as a worksheet in your Toiya account. Try prompts like:
Make a 12-question SAT Math homework on linear inequalities and systems, mostly medium with two hard ones, and include explanations.
My student missed these three questions [paste or upload]. Find five similar questions from Toiya for each.
Build a 20-minute ISEE Upper Level warm-up: 10 quantitative comparison questions, easy to medium.
What AMC 10 skills do you have for counting and probability, and how many questions are in each?
Open my worksheet "Week 6 Algebra", swap the two hardest questions for easier ones on the same skill, and add three more.

Privacy and safeguards
- Tutor accounts only. The connector checks your tutor status on every request; access stops if it changes.
- No student data. The assistant can't see student accounts, scores, or messages.
- Drafts stay private. Worksheets and questions it creates are private to you until you choose otherwise.
- Human review for public content. Contributed questions need your explicit agreement and a Toiya admin's approval before they become public.
- Revocable. Remove the connector in Claude or ChatGPT at any time to end access.
Tips for better results
- Name the exam and section first ("SAT Reading & Writing", "ISEE Upper Level Math"); the assistant then uses the exact skill names.
- Give a count and a difficulty mix ("8 medium, 2 hard").
- Ask it to show you the question IDs before saving, then make changes in plain English.
- For a student's missed questions, upload or paste them and ask for similar ones.
Frequently asked questions
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT use outside tools. Toiya's MCP server gives your assistant a set of tools for searching our question bank and building worksheets, so it works from real questions in the bank instead of making them up.
Who can use the Toiya AI connector?
Approved StudyToday tutors. You sign in with your Toiya account, and the connector checks that it is a tutor account. Interested in tutoring with us? Fill out the StudyToday tutor interest form.
Does it cost anything?
The connector is free for StudyToday tutors. You need your own Claude or ChatGPT account, and custom connectors may require a paid plan, depending on the provider.
Can the AI see my students' information?
No. The connector exposes the question bank and your own worksheets and question drafts only. It has no tools for student accounts, grades, or messages.
Will the AI publish anything without me?
No. Worksheets it creates are saved as private drafts in your account until you review and publish them. Questions it writes for you stay private unless you explicitly agree to submit them, and then a Toiya admin reviews them before anything becomes public.
How do I sign in?
Use your Toiya (StudyToday) email and password. Forgot your password? Reset it on the sign-in page, then connect.
Can the assistant see graphs and diagrams?
Yes. Ask it to show the figures for any question, and the connector sends the original images. Worksheets you print or share from Toiya include the question figures.
